Cathal won the James Menzies Kitchen Award in 2011 for which he directed his first professional production, Disco Pigs by Enda Walsh, at the Young Vic London
Between 2014 and 2016 he was the Donmar Warehouse Trainee Artistic Director.
He has directed for Druid Theatre, the Abbey Ireland’s National Theatre and Dublin Theatre Festival amongst others.
